1. About this policy

This policy explains how Hearro Technology (“we”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and deletes information when you use Asteria (“the app”). Asteria is designed around data minimization, anonymous-first use, and no targeted advertising.

2. Information we may process

• Account identifiers — an anonymous user ID and authentication-provider information if you choose to link an account.
• Daily settings — start and closing times, time zone, language, notifications, and choice mode.
• Selections and reflections — card IDs shown and selected, session times and status, and saved Daily Readings.
• Closing text — text you choose to enter to receive a closure line; see section 4 for the special handling of this text.
• Purchase data — product IDs, entitlement status, and transaction references from the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store payment-card details.
• Technical data — app version, device model, network state, error codes, and security events needed to operate and protect the app.

3. How we use information

• Schedule and open card sessions based on your settings.
• Create and retain Daily Readings and sync data when account features are enabled.
• Send notifications you allow.
• Validate purchases, restore entitlements, and deliver Card Packs you own.
• Protect, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the app.
• Respond to support and privacy-rights requests.

We do not run advertising, sell or rent personal information, or send your selections, reflections, or closing text for advertising use.

4. Daily Reading and closing text

Daily Reading is created from selection data by a deterministic on-device process. It does not call an LLM or send selection data elsewhere for processing.

AI is used only in a separate flow for text you choose to type before closing the day. When you submit that text, the app sends it through Google Firebase AI services to create one short response. By default, the raw text and response are not stored in our database or application logs. If you do not want to send text, you can choose “Nothing to put down tonight” and close the day normally. There is no separate AI-consent screen or toggle.

5. Service providers and disclosure

We may use providers only as needed to operate Asteria, including Google Firebase services for authentication, databases, remote configuration, abuse protection, files, notifications, and generating a response to closing text a user submits, and the App Store or Google Play for in-app purchases and entitlement recovery.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

• Settings, selections, and reflections are retained while your account is active or until you delete them.
• Inactive anonymous accounts may be removed after 24 months.
• General operational logs may be retained for up to 30 days, while security logs may be retained for 180–365 days where necessary.
• Purchase records required by law or platform rules may be kept longer and separated from usage content.
• Raw release-ritual text is not retained by default.

7. Your rights and choices

You can turn off notifications, restore purchases, and delete your account and data from app settings. Account deletion removes or de-identifies personal data under our control unless retention is legally required.

If you cannot access the app, or want to request access, correction, export, or deletion, email support@hearrotech.com. We may need information to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

8. Security and international processing

We use transport encryption, access controls, environment separation, log redaction, and risk-appropriate safeguards. Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Asteria is not designed for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that this has occurred, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Contact and changes

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or applicable requirements change. The latest version and effective date will be published here, and material changes will be communicated through the app where appropriate.
