Internet traffic exits directly through the Host’s connection. The Cloud manages access and accounting; it is not the transit path for all traffic.

Hosts provide the upstream Internet—from a home router, shop connection, or mobile hotspot—plus power and a place. ShareNet manages access and records earnings.

    Power on the Box, choose the upstream Wi-Fi, and follow setup.

    Register with your Host account

    Attach the device using its activation credential, then set sharing limits within system bounds.

ShareNet Box and ShareNet Link belong to one hardware family. The Box manages access; Link bridges or extends it, without owning billing.

The Box reports data usage. The Cloud validates accepted usage before recording credit consumption and Host earnings.

Recorded earnings remain on the Cloud when a Box moves or fails. Payouts remain subject to eligibility and review.

Pre-commercial validation

Box, Cloud, and dashboards are being developed and tested together. The latest project brief reports no commercial users, service revenue, or signed pilot agreements yet.

about ShareNet.

Is ShareNet a new Internet provider?

No. ShareNet uses the Internet a Host already has, adding managed access, accounts, credit, and usage accounting. Quality still depends on the upstream connection and local conditions.

Can I use the service or buy a Box now?

The project is in pre-commercial development and testing. This website explains the system and its progress; it is not a signup, device checkout, or credit top-up service.

What makes the system fairer?

Users can review credit and usage history. The Cloud validates usage before recording charges and Host earnings, with a dispute review process. Earnings are not guaranteed, and payouts depend on eligibility and checks.

What is sponsor-paid access?

A sponsor can cover data for specified services, separately from a user’s personal credit. It requires approved scope and budgets; it is not unrestricted free Internet, and availability remains subject to system readiness.
