SHARENETPROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026
01 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

We are not building a new Internet system.

ShareNet makes sharing and using the Internet that already exists simpler and fairer.

02 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Internet exists, but access is still constrained

Homes, shops, dorms, and community sites already pay for Supply while many users need something more flexible than another monthly contract.

  • Supply is distributed
  • Demand moves
  • The missing layer is Trust + Transaction

03 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Existing workarounds solve only part of the problem

Password sharing lacks control and audit. Vouchers trap value at one site. Mobile hotspots are not built for continuous community service.

  • Shared passwords — hard to govern
  • Vouchers — balance tied to one point
  • Phone hotspot — not continuous infrastructure

04 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

ShareNet is the Access Layer between existing Internet and users

Traffic exits through the Host. ShareNet centralizes Identity, Policy, Metering, Credit, Accounting, and Audit.

05 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Hosts start with what they already have

Existing Internet → install and register the Box → maintain power, location, and availability → earn from system-accepted usage.

06 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Clients see a simple, explainable service

Connect → Top up → use Internet → pay for actual data → carry the remaining balance to another available ShareNet point.

07 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Every GB is an accountable transaction

Accepted usage, quota policy, balance deduction, settlement, and audit trail are recorded so both sides can understand what happened.

  • Local data path
  • Central policy + accounting
  • Stop / recovery without lost balance
  • Trust + dispute controls

08 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Start where Supply and Demand are already close

Shops, dorms, markets, workspaces, and communities reveal the problem clearly. Expansion must follow real network density—not an imaginary coverage map.

09 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

Hosts turn existing Internet into measurable Supply

The experience target is Plug in → Register → Forget. Hosts maintain Internet, power, location, and availability while Server + Admin centrally governs policy, pricing, accounts, and metering.

  • Host maintains Internet + site
  • Node runs continuously
  • Central policy + pricing
  • Auditable settlement

One hardware family, distinct responsibilities

V1 starts with Wi-Fi uplink and no LAN. V2 adds capacity and LAN. ShareNet Link remains a separate Bridge / Coverage device.

11 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

One account makes infrastructure portable

Users should not restart their balance at every Node. The goal is one Account + Balance that moves with them across available ShareNet points.

12 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

The network compounds through easy Hosts and repeat Clients

Supply grows when Hosts benefit from usage. Demand grows when Clients trust that connection and balance behavior remain consistent.

  • Density before geography
  • Repeat usage before vanity reach
  • Operational evidence before expansion

13 / 14PROJECT UPDATE · SEPTEMBER 2026

What is proven—and what is not

The single-Box pilot passed on Raspberry Pi 5 + WR1300 r101 + PostgreSQL and one Android: 20/20 Wi-Fi cycles, 5/1 Mbps policy, accounting, stop/recovery, trust, and dispute flows.

  • Passed: single-Node pilot acceptance
  • Next: 2 Boxes + at least 3 Clients
  • Still required: soak, power, RF/thermal, multi-ISP, Cloud HA, factory/RMA

The large ambition starts with small, credible proof

ShareNet aims to make existing Internet simpler and fairer to share and use. The next gate is a solid 2-node, multi-client system before a wider pilot.

  • Project update—not a live service
  • Concept—not a production claim
  • Capital accelerates evidence, hardware, and distribution
